Advisory Board Member responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1) Regular attendance at called or scheduled Board meetings
2) Support CASA program staff members and CASA Volunteers
3) Be available for community outreach programs through speaking engagements or community events as needed to augment the efforts of staff members
4) Remain active in fundraising efforts
5) Initiate fundraising ideas and projects
6) Research, and remain current on legislative issues relating to the CASA program
7) Maintain relationships with County government, Chamber of Commerce, and courts system to enhance the CASA program.
8) Board members are welcome to observe a CASA training class.
9) Board members are welcome to participate in In-Service training classes.
10) Board members are encouraged to attend all social events in recognition of CASA volunteers.
11) Board members will assist Program Director with CASA Graduation Ceremonies (Spring, Fall) and CASA Appreciation Day (early Summer)
12) Assist in Recruiting new CASA Volunteers (speaking engagements, television, radio, print)
13) Strategic Planning including Short Term/Long Term Goals.
